White House HBCU All-Star
Keonia Rodgers is a North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University graduating senior, Psychology student and Entrepreneurship minor hailing all the way from Dover, Delaware. Rodgers serves as the 2017-18 HBCU All-Star at
A&T through the White House Initiative on HBCUs. This program highlights the value of education on minority serving institutions.
Keonia has played many significant roles on her campus. She has made the Dean’s List every semester, received membership into Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, Psi Chi International Honor Society, as well as Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society. She is also an active member in the University’s Honors Program, and the Miss of two student organizations, NAACP and NYNJ Connection. In addition, she has worked as a Call Center Representative, where she contacted alumni to raise money for the Annual Giving Campaign, a tutor/counselor for Upward Bound Trio Program, and currently serves as an Academic Coach for the Aggie Mentoring Program. She has also participated in international studies, studying abroad in Costa Rica (summer 2017). Being an out-of-state, first generation college student, Keonia has leveraged many connections and opportunities to achieve all she has thus far. She continuously strives to obtain upward mobility and is adamant about becoming a positive role model for her peers. As a White House HBCU All-Star, Ms. Rodgers would like to evolve, motivate, and impact her HBCU community, specifically HBCU women, at large. “It’s time to Boss Up!“
